Student Case Study Competition

The International case study competition for students was held on 21st March 2018 within the 37th International Conference on Organizational Science Development in Portorož, Slovenia. Before the competition, student had two days to find a solution to the business problem, which was given through skype from organization GS1 Slovenia on Monday, 19th March 2018. The title of this year’s challenge was “From brand awareness to standard implementation,” where students were given the task of analysing and researching the possibilities of raising the visibility of GS1 Slovenia as a global provider of bar code standards among students.

Students who attended the case study competition came from Faculties of Organizational Sciences Belgrade, Varaždin and Kranj: Bowtie Consulting (FON, Belgrade), Fontastic (FON, Belgrade), FOI team (FOI, Varaždin) and FOV1 and FOV2 (FOV, Kranj).

All the solutions provided by the students were useful for the company and four-member jury had difficult task to appoint the winner. Most of the points were received by the Bowtie Consulting team from Serbia (team members: Ana Jaćimović, Jelena Popović, Luka Delić and Marina Krak), second place went to FOV2 team (team members: Filip Bilbija, Pavel Nesterov, Tina Radovanovič and Marina Đorđeski) and third place won team FOV1 (team members: Nina Milinković, Kim Kestner, Jan Vidmar, Katja Hrovatič and Amir Draganović).
