Title: Why Medical Professionals are Optimistic

Aleksandar Gavrić was born on 28th of February, 1989 in Kranj, Slovenia. He has earned Medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine, Ljubljana in 2008 and started a medical internship program at the University Medical Center in Ljubljana right after. At the moment he is a staff physician at the Gastroenterology Department and planning to apply for the Gastroenterology residency program.

He has been a columnist for Medicine Today (Medicina Danes) since 2013 and recently became a member of the editorial board of the newspaper. Because he is to busy to start a start-up and change the world by its service he is trying to affect the Slovenian medical society by writing positively oriented columns and share ideas about latest medical innovations.

While at the medical faculty, he founded Medical Student Journal Club (MSJC) that was awarded for promoting the power of communication among medical professionals and enabling international cooperation of the Medical Faculty of Ljubljana. While at MSJC he also organized teleconferences with heart surgeons from the Hermann Memorial Hospital in Texas Medical Center, Houston. Teleconferences were live streamed on the web page as well.

In his spare time he is learning to code in Python because Bill Gates once said that everyone should learn to code.

He lives in Ljubljana and is a proud father and a husband.
